Dry Skin Solutions

Skin gets dry in all seasons

In the warmer months it might be air-conditioning, salt water or sunshine, while in the cooler months it's heaters, hot showers and baths. And if you're living somewhere with dry water, the season makes no difference.

Guna's multi-purpose products were designed to be used in different ways, depending on your skin's changing needs.

Check out our dry skin tips.

Minimise dehydration

Before you expose your skin to something drying, you can use oil-based products to lock moisture in.

  • Massage Kosha Body Oil into your body before a shower, bath or swim. This is an old Ayurvedic method known as Abhyanga. Not only does it prevent your skin from drying out, but it allows for greater absorption of the oils.
  • Use Universal Balm or Soma Face Oil on your face before exposing it to hot, salty, hard or chlorinated water.
  • Afterwards, you can just pat your skin dry and follow your normal skincare routine.

Hydrate + Protect

Many skin and body products sink into skin and disappear. If your skin needs something more rich, try these tips.

  • After gently cleansing your face, use Apas Serum on damp skin and follow with Maya Treatment Balm. Maya is a leave-on masque you can use everyday that contains an array of Ayurvedic ingredients valued for their hydrating, anti-inflammatory and nourishing qualities. If you need something lighter for the day, mix it with Soma Face Oil in your palm before applying.
  • For your body, mix some Kosha Body Oil with Universal Balm in your palm and massage into your skin. Kosha Body Oil is richer than regular body oils, and with the addition of Universal Balm, it becomes a luxurious veil for your skin.
