Blue Lotus Perfume Concentrate
Heady, Sweet, Euphoric
Transcend and transform
Like a lotus opening its petals, this perfume slowly unveils itself, revealing its gentle magic. It's sweet, almost green, woody-floral and light - like nothing you've encountered before. Blue Lotus has a watery quality that makes it refreshing and uplifting.
The scent makes you feel like the lotus herself - floating on water, facing the sky, opening yourself to the heavens.
- Sweet and euphoric, with a hidden depth
- First used in Ancient Egypt and brought to India several centuries ago
- Used by Cleopatra herself to fragrance her bed chambers
Blue Lotus || Sacred Lotus of the Nile
It originally grew on the banks of the River Nile, and travelled to India in ancient times.
Blue Lotus evokes a sense of euphoria, tranquility and a slightly altered state of awareness.
It's calming and enhances dream states while bringing about inspiration and creativity.
The Egyptian Blue Lotus has been culturally significant since ancient times. People would steep the flowers in tea or wine and drink it at parties, wear it in their hair as adornment, and use it for its perfume. You can find these depictions of the Blue Lotus in ancient temples, murals and papyrus from Egypt.
In particular, you can find many depictions of the Blue Lotus being held to the nose of royalty. Its scent was restorative and protective. When Tut-ankh-Amun's tomb was opened, it was covered with Blue Lotus flowers.

Papyrus of Ani
An excerpt from the Papyrus of Ani from the Egyptian Book of the Dead (c. 1250BCE):
"If you stood on a summer's morning on the bank under a brilliant sky, you would see the thousand petals and say that together they make the lotus. But if you lived in its heart, invisible from without, you might see how the ecstasy at its fragrant core gives rise to its thousand petals...I open toward the light and lift myself to the gods on the perfume of prayer. I ask for nothing beyond myself. I own everything I need. I am content in the company of god, a prayer that contains its own answer. I am the lotus. As if from a dream, I wake up laughing."

FAQ
What makes your perfumes special?
If you use your perfume a few times a day, every day, it could last up to six months. If you're using them on special occasions, they can last years.
In terms of longevity, our perfumes can last for years and years. Keep them away from extreme heat to avoid damaging the scent.
Once you apply the perfume, it will last on your skin for hours. We use a base of Organic Jojoba Oil because it's odourless and also because it's similar to our skin's natural sebum. This means that when you apply it on your skin, the Jojoba Oil will hydrate it, so the perfume can sit on top rather than sink in and disappear. You may not notice your perfume after ten or so minutes due to olfactory fatigue, but people around you will still notice it.

I don't usually wear perfume. Will I like this?
Quite possibly! We have a lot of customers who haven't worn perfumes for years but love using ours. Many customers with sensitivities to synthetic fragrance, or who don't like commercial scents, find our perfumes absolutely wonderful. They are a portal into another world, and wearing them is not only a form of adornment, but can change how you feel and move through the world.
